"Please just take this money from a dying girl." Darcy wants to pay for dinner and Betsy won't take her money. So, Darcy, who has Stage 4 cancer, stoops to this comment which stops Betsy in her tracks. There is brief silence and then Betsy bends down and kisses Darcy on the head and takes the money. I stand along the sidelines and pretend I didn't hear this exchange. The moment shakes all three of us.
