At first, we saw a single female on the side of the road. Then we noticed two bucks across the street. And when we strained out eyes to look further, we saw a herd of 30 of them on the local golf course. We watched them for awhile and then we went somewhere to grab a beer.
On the way out of town, we saw that the herd had moved towards a public park, down by the river so we decided to go and watch them again. At this point, there were 60 or more of them. At one point the Alpha male let out a cry and one by one, they followed him across the river. I was mesmerized by them.
