I wonder how many sunset photos I have taken in my life. For 30 years, my parents had a home right on the bay of the atlantic ocean and we saw magnifinet sunsets most days. And one of us was always recording this moment. And this was before cell phones, when we used film and had to pay to get our phtos developed. It cost a fortune. I wonder what happened to all of those photos.
I take a lot of sunsets when I travel. I just took this photo in Ethiopia last month. A few months back, I was spending the night in a tent in the Sahara Desert. We arrived at 5, just as the sun was starting to set. I think I took 50 photos that night. I have deleted maybe 20 of them. But I cant bring myself to delete all but one. Every photo speaks to me differently.
I've taken sunset photos at the Grand Canyon, the Artic Circle, in Australia, in the Gobi Desert and the Nimibia Desert and the West Coast of the USA and as the sun sets on Key West Florida. How many other wonderful places will I have these photos. Will I ever have enough? I hope not.
