I had just retired in July and my friend suggested I join her for a trip down the Nile River. The moment was so exciting because we would be traveling in October, a time when I could never travel while I was working. I was now a retired educator and free to roam the world at any time of the year. And this freedom relieved me of burden of having such a narrow travel schedule. The whole world was now truly opened up to me.
