Arco, Idaho

Arco, Idaho
July 2016

I am not sure I want to live in a city lit by atomic power.  It seems scary to me. But truthfully, I don't know what are the consequences of this power.  And I don't know if they still use it.  So to play it safe, I just quickly drove through this quaint, small town.

Craters of the Moon National Monument

Craters of the Moon National Monument
Idaho
July 2016

My friend asked me to join her at a music festival in Oregon.  She told me we would drive from her house in Colorado to Oregon.  It would only take a mere 18 hours of driving.  I was up for the trip but instead that we stop at Craters of the Moon in Idaho.  I wanted to see this unusual place.  So we drove there, a little out of our way but after three days of traveling, a few extra hours didn't really matter.

It was hot that day, really hot.  I didn't feel like getting out of the car. And the climb to the top of the hill seemed really steep, steeper than I wanted to climb in this hot air.  But the climb up was not what worried me.  I was more afraid that the walk down would be so steep that gravity would pull me faster than I wanted to go.  SoI sat in the car wile my friend tok the climb and my urge to see the craters was satisfied.
