Buying The Beer for the Family Party

I was having a family party of about 30 people and I wanted to make sure I had enough beer. I anticipated that there would be 12 beer drinkers. I didn't want to push alcohol on any of them. But wanted to make sure I didn't run out of beer. I thought people would drink between 3 and 4 beers. That would be 33 to 44 beers. So I got 140 beers. I understood the assignment. We didn't run out of beers and people drank much more than I had anticipated.
