He was just sitting on top of this post when I saw him from a distance. I was in my car so I approached him as slowly as I could. I was so afraid I was going to scare him off. But I didn't. I came right up to him. And he let me take several photos and then he took off. It took me a few moments to shake off my joy and good fortune so that I could focus on driving again.
