June 2025

June 2025

PA, DE, NJ

1- SU- PA

I went to William's house today to unload some of my shelving on him.  No matter how much stuff I get rid of, more seems to reproduce itself in just a few days.  I can not get out for under my stuff.

We went to lunch and talked about our finances and I just couldn't get my nerve to ask William to be the executor of my will.

2- M- PA/DE

Jaye and I went to see the movie, Mission Impossible, today and then we had dinner with Andrea. We spent all of our time complaining about Dom.  I just hate what he did to Jaye and all of us.

Jill is arguing with Brian on FB and she just can't understand why he is so bigoted and she thinks she can submit a post on FB to help him see the ways of his erroneous thinking.

3- TU- PA

I drove a woman to her cancer treatment today.  I haven't done that in months for a variety of reasons. But I need to do this more often.  It takes me out of any self pity I may be fostering at the time.

Since I was so close, I went to Shady Maple Buffet.  I have heard about this buffet for years. It is obscenely huge and it was an absolute pig fest. OMG, I am never coming here again.

In the evening, I had a discussion with Barb and Greg about complaining and the construction problem. It seems as if too many people want me to do all of the complaining. But I tried to tell, at least these two that many of us have to step up and say something.

4- W- PA/NJ

Tricia and I went to OCNJ to see the rookery and we had a great view of the moment.  The eggs have hatched and these adorable little fuzzy balls of feathers are just getting ready to fly the coop. Being here gives me solace from this crazy world.

Twitter: MTG is so proud of her incompetence. Admitting that she didn’t read the bill before she voted on it speaks volumes of her negligence of duty.

5- TH- PA

Today would be Jack's 125th birthday. I thought I might be the only one of my siblings who remembered but Kathy posted a note on our family text and it was nice to see what we all remembered about him after 51 years of his absence.

The noise from the construction was so loud, it was torturous.  I had to get out of bed because I couldn't take the pounding at my window. So I went to he lounge and people were there so I sat and chatted them up fro about 2 hours.

I booked a trip to Tunisia and Algeria in late September. I will be home just in time fro the Germans' arrival.

In other fun news, Musk has turned on Trump and they are battling it out on social media and most of us are filled with joy and urges to shout, "I fucking told you so" about both of them.

In the evening, several of us were hanging in the lounge.

6- F- PA

I went to the movies with Sue. She never wants to go to the movies but later, she's been much more interested.  We went to see Jane Austen Wrecked My Life.  I liked it but didn't love it.

Afterwards we went to dinner at the Grog and the place was packed with Villanova alumni from the class of 1995.  It was loud and crowded and these people could drink.  Everyone was ordering two drinks at a time. And then, suddenly, they were gone, like the plague.  It became so quiet and manageable.  They went off to Kelly's for a two hour open bar event.

KF called and I hate picking up her calls. I am always afraid she is going to o tell me that her mother died.

7- SA- PA

It was Nina Green's big  wedding day and it was so much fun.

Twitter: When did TACO cave on the kidnapping of Garcia. Why did he finally surrender to the SCOTUS ruling? This was a very quiet return. Something is up.

Twitter: I was angry when Garcia was taken without due process. Now I am suspicious of his return.

8 SU- PA

Leslie and I went to see the new Wes Anderson movie,    As to be expected. it was quirky.  I missed a lot of the key points of the movie but I am not sure it was absolutely necessary to fully understand the plot.

Afterwards we went to a restaurant, Rosalie, named after her mother. It is one of the several restaurants her family owns.

suspicious of his return. I do t trust the DOJ.

9- M- PA

I've had a couple of nights of bad sleep which concerns me because sleeping has not been a problem for the past few months.

I got my hair cut in the afternoon.  I cant believe how much thought I have to muster up to get m hair cut.

Twitter: If you are a National Guard member or Marine and are ordered to violate Constitutional rights in contravention of your sworn oath, this is the number to the GI Rights Hotline: 1-877-447-4487. You DO NOT have to obey illegal commands.

Twitter: Using the military against your own citizens isn’t strength. It’s the collapse of democracy in real time. When the people become the enemy, freedom becomes a memory. #Democracy #HumanRights #NeverAgain #TrumpIsUnfitForOffice

10- T- PA

I had dinner with my UBES group.

Afterwards I returned my chair that I purchaed 4 years ago at Costco.

Twitter: Republicans, where are you?? This is your big moment. There is tyranny going on right now. Step up. Using the military against our own citizens isn’t strength; it’s the collapse of democracy in real time. When the people become the enemy, freedom becomes a memory. #Democracy

11- W- PA

I had a slight problem with vertigo today so I didn't do much for fear of falling on my big, fat ass.

Twitter: Using the military against citizens is a betrayal of democracy. Leaders should protect their people, not intimidate them. Trump’s actions remind us why power must always be held accountable. #HumanRights #DemocracyMatters

Twitter: If someone risks everything and comes undocumented, for a shot at safety, they deserve a 2nd chance. I support a path to legal status because:

  • People deserve dignity
  • Families belong together
  • We’re a safe haven
  • It’s our moral duty
  • They already positively contribute to our society

12-TH-PA/NJ

I took a road trip to the River Horse Brewing Company- NJ (1). I have been interested in this particular brewery for a number of years. But I thought it hadn't made it through covid so I was so happy to find it today.

13- F- PA

Life in the USA continues to be crazy. Today, the mayor of Trenton and others were arrested because they wanted to visit an ICE Detention Centre in Trenton. After the frenzy of the arrest, all of them were released.

I discovered last night that I qualify for the Travel Century Club. In the past, I wasn't sure I would ever reach this threshold so I've expressed no interest in joining. But I looked up the membership fees and that aren't as bad ad I thought they would be. So for a fleeting moment, i considered it. But membership just gives you bragging rights.

Twitter: Free speech isn’t just a right; it's a responsibility. It’s the foundation of every other freedom. Without the ability to speak freely, truth gets buried, power goes unchecked, and progress stalls. Protect it, even when it’s uncomfortable. #1stAmendment #Protest #FreeSpeech

14- SA- PA

I woke up to the news that a man gunned down a legislature and her husband in Minnesota and then we went and ambushed a senator and his wife. Immediately, MAGA claimed it was democrats against democrats but as they day unfolded, the shooter was identified as MAGA.

Today was the big, impactful, magnificent No Kings Rally. And around the world, we all got the assignment. It was a passive demonstration of support for democracy. These moments give me hope that we can turn it around in our country.

A man was picked up by the police because people noticed he had a gun on him and police discovered he did not have a license for a concealed weapon. He also had lots of ammunition.

In the evening I ushered at Uptown. There was a one man play and I missed the beginning of it so I never clicked with the characters. But the audience was laughing so it must have been good.

15- SU- PA/DE

Jaye and I went to the Chester County Historical Center and took a bus trip through the area, looking at historical sites in the underground railroad. I continue to be amazed at people who have so much courage. Everyone who helped a slave escape risked their lives.

We went to lunch at Panera's and Jaye told me that she isn't getting a divorce because she cant take the risk of getting off Dom's health insurance. Im so sad that she cant break loose from him.

In the evening, Kirsten wanted to meet her new boyfriend so we met in the lounge and had a few drinks together.

Twitter: I’m beginning to think the orange idiot is purposely working to allow China to step up to be the new world leader. #TrumpIsUnfitForOffice #TrumpisaNationalDisgrace

16- M- PA

A message was waiting for all of us on our high school FB page this morning. One of our classmates informed us that her son just lost his beautiful wife from some rare disease. She was only 33 and she leaves behind a young son. Our friend was asking for prayers. And in the midst of all this sadness, I find great joy in knowing that Anne Marie wanted to share her very sad news with us. How lucky are we to still be friends who can offer her some comfort.

Trump started his day by announcing that he was going to send more ICE agents in to democratic control cities. This is political targeting. And I hate him.

Twitter: At first I was hoping for the parade to be cancelled because of lightening. But I have to confess. It brought me great joy to see what a bust it was. #TrumpisaNationalDisgrace #TrumpParadeFail

17- TU- PA

I started the day by taking an old man to his cancer treatment. And he is one beaten up old man. He has lung cancer and esophagus cancer and he is going through radiation and then he has a long series of chemo treatment. He is suffering.

I came home to find Pete in the lounge and I introduce him to CHatGPT because he wants to write his memories of Diane but he doesn't have the energy. So I gave him two examples and the the descriptions of Diane were so accurate that I thought he was going to cry. I told him that I would help him with this project if he is interested.

I heard from Denise. She is coming to the area in July and wants to get together to visit our great grandmother's grave in Phoenixville.

In the evening, I went to a lecture on wills vs trusts and I need to get more documents together to keep my estate from going to probate. I hate all of this damn, confusing read tape. Why cant I just save my money and give it to whomever I want without the damn government getting in my way.

In local news, the man with a gun at the rally on Saturday was arrested again. The police searched his home and found several pipe bombs. We dodged a bullet on Saturday.

In world news, the orange idiot is threatening Iran through tweets and he is so stupid and dangerous that he is going to get all of us killed.

Twitter: "We know exactly where the so-called “Supreme Leader” is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there. We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin". #FUDJT

Twitter: Maybe, just maybe he left the G7 because he had more important work to do. Maybe mcDonald’s just released a new burger that he wanted to try. Did you ever think of that? #TrumpisaNationalDisgrace #TrumpIsUnfitForOffice #TrumpIsLazy

18- W- PA/NJ

I couldn't get a hold of this day. Everything crept up on me. I was running late. I felt rushed and I hate to be in this mode of operation. It took me an hour and 45 minutes to get tot he restaurant for Mason's celebration dinner. I thought it would take about an hour and I had planned on stopping some place for some gummies.

But I rushed to get there and I was the first one there and could have been 20 minutes late.

We had dinner. Jim took Mason to the graduation ceremony while Jill, Joanne and I finished out drinks. Then we got a call that Jim's car broke down so we had to rush and get going. I went out and searched for Jim but he had already called AAA so he didn't want any more intervention/help from anyone. So I went off and joined the others at the high school.

I was pleased to see how Mason's classmates treated him. He even hugged a few of them which I think is a big moment for him. He is willing to hug me but he does not initiate the gesture. But that's OK. Seeing him with his friends was great to see.

Twitter: Instead of offering Canada the opportunity to become the 51st state, maybe we should be begging Canada to allow us to become the 11th Provence. #TrumpisaNationalDisgrace #TrumpIsUnfitForOffice #Canada

19- TH- PA

I'm on a road trip today with the intent to go to three breweries in the next two days.

I visited three breweries today: Juniata Brewing Company (2). Coal Country Brewery (3) and Levity Brewery (4). And then I got a hotel room and called it a day.

20- F- PA

I drove pass Portage High School. I was here 38 years ago for a vice principal job. The interview was comical and mysoginistic. They asked if the "f word" offended me and it took everything out o fem not to say, "that's my favorite fucking word."

After a hour drive this morning, I stopped at the Sugar Run Brewery (5) in Duncanville, PA.

I just added my breweries from yesterday and discovered that I have already been to a Levity Brewery in Blair Country. Now my mood is a bit spoiled with disappointment as I have a dilemma as to add this to my cumulative list or not.

I came home to discover that my balcony is finally finished. I was so damn happy to see that the security bar that prevented me from accessing the balcony was gone. So I grabbed a chair and sat out there regardless of the messy view of the courtyard.

Twitter: My grandparents were immigrants and I am so thankful every day that they were allowed in. Because of their courage and this country’s open door, I have the life I do today. Grateful beyond words. 🇺🇸❤️ #ImmigrantHeritage #Gratitude

Twitter: No one loses their humanity at a border. Undocumented immigrants are people, parents, workers, friends, seeking safety and dignity. Let’s treat them with mercy.

Twitter: Let’s stop pretending. The President is clearly suffering from dementia: forgetting names, places, even basic facts. This is a national security risk, not just a political embarrassment.#TrumpIsUnfitForOffice #TrumpIsANationalDisgrace

21- SA- PA

It's World Music Day. Pete and I set out and went to a few places in town for a beer and music. All the musicians we heard were old, white men. So much for world music. But it was a perfect day to sit around with friends, drink beer and listen to music.

In the evening, the orange idiot announced that he sent bombs to Iran and he did this against the advice of his intelligence committee. There is no evidence that Iran has nuclear missiles.

22- SU- PA

The whole world is on alert now that the orange idiot has been so reckless.

I had brunch with Sharon and Glenn. They came up from the city and we ate outside on Gay Street. Then I spent the afternoon in the lounge with JoJo.

Twitter: Where’s Barron? He needs to be the first soldier deployed to Iran. #TrumpIsReckless #TrumpIsUnfitForOffice #TrumpisaNationalDisgrace #TrumpIsALoser

23- M- PA

Damn, damn, damn it was hot today. If it didn't hit 100F, the heat index sure did.

I woke up to a call from management about my battle with Buzzotto. They have reached a settlement on our disgruntle regard on how they handled this massive, annoying renovation project. I have asked for a $900 reduction in my rent. They are offering $150. I declined their offer.

I did, however, go to Ironhill Brewery (6) with Andy, Pete, Kristen and Kevin and had a fun, cool afternoon.

24- TU- PA

I sent the N7Ns a request for their legal name and birthdays so I could list them as beneficiaries in my will It seemed to upset some o them and they saw it as a cause for concern.

I spent the whole damn day in the lounge, holding court with people. It started with my lack of ability to sleep so I was there early and in enough time to brag one fo the damn breakfast donuts. Then it was 1 PM and I realized I hadn't eaten yet so I went to my local deli and picked up a few sandwiches. And I came back to the lounge and spread my stuff all over one of the tables.

Betty came down with her 10 year old grandson and we somehow got in to a conversation about the American who was in prison in North Korea and came back brain dead. I wonder if we terrorized this kid.

Kristen stopped by and so did Rich and Gina and Charles and Pete and Judy and JoJo and a few others who stopped by for coffee but had time to make a few comments about the construction situation.

Some time around 10PM, Jim came over and asked if I had been here this whole day and I had to think about it and then realized that it had been almost 12 hours. So I backed up and went back to my apartment.

25- W- PA

I had a conversation with Keith. He wants to pursue legal action against Buzzotto. He has had it as his apartment has been flooded yet again.

26- TH- PA

We had our summer community party and it was a bit lame.

27- F- PA

All of the construction equipment is gone. Several men worked diligently to get the courtyard in order and it looks great after 10 weeks of chaos.

Jaye came over for dinner. We went to the momo restaurant which I thinks going tp become one of my favorite restaurants in town.

After she left, a few people hung around in the lounge and we had a discussion about Jaye and her dreadful situation.

28- SA- PA

I left this day open to hang with Tricia. I thought she would be back from her trip by now and I thought I'd go over there and hang with her and lsiten to her stories. But when she finally returned my text, she told me she was in Budapest. She doesn't get home until late tomorrow.

In the afternoon, I had ice cream and beers with Kim. She usually doesn't work on Saturdays bit she was here today so I thought i'd soften the blow of having to work on her day off.

29- SU- PA

I had lunch with the Hakes. After I left the Hakes, I made my way to 36th Street and went to the Two Locals Brewery (7)

I was in the lounge, trying to update my beneficiaires of my will and I was itnerrupted by Kevin and Kevin. Both were drunk, loud and filleed with stories. I think I listened ot them for two hours.

30- M- PA

It's 1AM amd I have been working for two hours to change my beneficiares in my will and I am not making any progress and I am so damn frustrated. I should just go to bed.

I got up to a thunderstorm and a little bit of lightening. I love the sound of thunder rollling in. And then it rained and I was sitting on my balcony and I got wet and I didn't care because I was so happy to be sitting in the rian in a thunderstorm. And then it started to come down so heavily that I had to seek shelter.

I called my investment people and someone walked me through the whole process of putting the N&Ns in my list of beneficieaires. So now I can die today and they wil get the money.

I started working on my visa to Algeria and it is giving me a headache because it is so damn complicated. I can not have a stamp from Israel. I have to supply a bank statement. I have to show all of my flight information and my full internal. I must also send in a letter, asking if I can apply for a visa. This is going to be a pain in the ass.
