I Lost This Scarf
June 2017

I lost this scarf eight years ago and I still lement this loss. I loved this scarf. I bought it in Paris in 1997 and lost it in 2017. I guess you could say I had it long enough and 20 years is enough time to own a scarf. But this scarf was perfect for days when I ride camels through the Sahara Desert or when I need a head covering to go into a mosque or a head cover up in Jordon when I am spending the afternnoon at Petra. And now it is gone and I am still mad.
I think I know how I lost it. It was two days before I was going to move out of my house. I had a pile of things in the middle of my living room, half of the things were going in to my car and the other half was going to a charity organization that was going to pick up the last of my unwanted belongs.
I stepped out for a few minutes and told the painters that I would be back to let the charity organization in. The charity group arrived before I returned; the the dumb ass painter told the chairty guy to take everything in the middle of the living room. So the two men quickly loaded everything up in the truck. I got there just in time to stop this confusion. The charty guy let me get up and into his truck to retrieve my things but I missed the scarf and my floor swiper (which I had to replace).
So after eight years, I am still mad at the painter and the guy from the charity who should not have taken directions from the stupid painter.
