Puffins Trip

Maine

June 30 - July 7, 2023

June 30- I left my apartment to spend the night at Deb and Lisa's house.  We are leaving very early in the morning. 

July 1- we made it to RI after 7 hours.  The trip should have taken 4+ hours but the holiday weekend caused us an additional 3 hours.

In the evening, we went to the Appruna brewery which sits right on the riverfront.  

July 2- we got back in the car and traffic and the pouring rain.

For lunch, we went to the Sea Dog Brewery and I had a hazelnut porter that I just loved.

We stopped at a Mexicali Shop and I bought two tops that I dont need.

In the late afternoon, we made it to Camden, Maine where we will spend the next two nights.

July 3- We had an afternoon boat cruise around the harbor.  It was nice but I dont think I have to take any more of these types of boat cruises to nowhere. I've done my share in my lifetime.

At noon, we went to the Blaze Brewery.  We had to wait until noon as Deb has a moral code that she doesn't drink before noon. My beers were delicious.

I bought too much damn stuff.  We went in to one high end shop and I left with three blouses.

July 4 - We got back in the car and made out way to Machias, ME. It's a small town, about 1/2 hour away from the puffin trip boat dock.  Of course, we watched the small town 4th of July parade and fireworks.

July 5- Puffin Day- we saw lots of puffins.

July 6- We start heading home, stopping in Portland ME for the afternoon.we spent the day in traffic and the night in Provindece, RI.

July 7-  We arrived in Philly in the late afternoon. It was great to get home.
