I've been here about 15 times in the last 20+ years. And I've been to lots of areas in the state. I never get tired of the scenery. The mountains are gorgeous.
- Telluride Blue Grass festival in 2011 was great fun.
- Rocky Grass Festival was fun. I worked the ticket booth with KT so we got everything for free. But next time, I am just going to pay as I think I missed too much music.
- Rocky Mountain National Park- I was here in June one time. The snow wall on the side of the road must have been 15 feet tall.
- Red Rocks Amphitheatre is a spiritual moment.
- Lots and lots of breweries. I think I have been to 25 breweries in this state.
- Cripple Creek- There was a song about Cripple Creek when I was in high school. So it was fun to visit this town. But I have to wonder why anyone wrote about it.
- Steamboat Resort was where I went with two friends to celebrate our 50th birthday.
- Hot air ballon ride for my 50th birthday- Helen and I went on the ride and Kathy F was too hesitant. So she stayed on the ground and took photos.
- Great Sand Dunes National Park for my 62nd birthday celebration and this is where I purchased my lifetime pass to the national parks.
- Air Force Academy- I went to visit the cathedral which is beautiful.
- Rio Grande River- I've passed it several times and most times, we stop and marvel at its beauty.
- Boulder is where I spend most of my time.
- Colorado Springs- I was here in 1994 and then again in 2019.
- Denver- my friend Helen lives here and I think I've visited her twice.
- Mining school- It's an outstanding school but I cant help but wonder who is interested in mining fro a career.
- Elk- I watched a herd of elk cross the river at dusk. maybe there were 60 of them. It was magical.
- John Denver Park- I wonder how long he will be remembered. His Rocky Mountain High song is played as if it is the state anthem.
- Brechenridge Brewery Festival in 2018, with VIP tickets, is the way to go to this event.
- Aspen is too expensive. I think we paid $20 just to ride the gondola up to the top of the mountain in July.
