Colorado/ New Mexico- 2019

Colorado/New Mexico
Road Trip
July 2019

For the last ten years, I have been going to CO every summer to meet up with a friend and then we take a road trip somewhere.  This year, we went to New Mexico

  • We started the trip by volunteering at the Rocky Grass Festival. That got us free passes to the festival and VIP tickets which also got us back stage passes and food passes.
  • Patti Larkins, Ani De Franco and Orange Mandolin were my favorite performers.
  • We visited a lot of breweries.
  • We toured the chapel at the Air Froce Academy.
  • We drove around the Garden of the Gods. They are beautiful rock formations.
  • We drove to Santa Fe.
  • I broke my fucking tooth.  I bit on a peice fo popcorn and the tooth cracked vertically and severed the root.  And it fucking hurt. And it was another week unitl I got home to my dentist.
  • We drove up to Toas and I found a store sold homemade clothing.  I bought a beautiful, $500 black coat.  I don't need this coat.  I don't spend this much money on clothing and I already have a coat that is similar in design.
  • I also found a place that sold lots of dressy tops that I just loved and I bought two and I have no need for them now that I am not working anymore.
  • We explored a new age, substainable community.  The homes are made out of refurbished truck tires.  All of thier waste water is recycled ad reused.
  • We stopped at the Rio Grande River and walked the bridge for the best views.
