  • John Horvath is still alive. He was in the fatal accident with Mike Transue but he and Trevor Cory survived. John teaches at Stroudsburg now.

  • I recognize a number of young men and women who were students in my classes and who will never grow old. My heart goes out to all on this list and their families. It violates my sense of order when parents survive their children. May their families and friends find peace.

    • I was shocked when I heard Candy passed away. We were close friends in middle school & beginning of high school before she moved. Does anyone know what happened to her?

       she had a lot of health issues towards the end. She had told me about needing a heart and lung transplant, but i don't know how true that was. I believe it was cancer in the end, but her story tended to change.

  • We had a Mark by Hamilton Elementary that had his leg amputated and then died of cancer. last name I think was Corbasero? He was an awesome person.

    • It was another very sad loss when Joey died. He graduated in 1993, with Bill, and he did play football. 😞

       Hi Darcy yes Joe Hall passed away but in between he worked at Stroudsburg high school as a security guard for many many years. He was truly loved by everyone who knew him.

  • Dr. Kelly, I cannot imagine how you’ve kept this list. It’s overwhelming. You were always one of my favorite and most memorable school faculty members (ever, throughout all my school years). This points to why.

  • Way too many people on this list- so sad & too young. My brother 
    Thomas Schotker
     was a student at Stroudsburg for a short time. He had a massive heart attack & passed away suddenly in April 2016 exactly a month before his birthday - RIP

I definitely knew quite a few names that are missed so dearly ALL were loved and surely gone too soon I was shocked even to see some names😓 lots of love and my deepest condolences to all friends and family of everyone ❤ my love always, my maiden name (Jill DeGroat, Jason DeGroat's little sister❤)
