My Mother's Retort

My Mother's Retort
One of Many Conversations With Her
Philadelphia, PA

Facebook post- May 9, 2015

My mother had six kids in 7 years and then 11 years later, she has another kid. One of us once referred to Brian as a mistake and my mother chimed in, “SIX KIDS IN 7 YEARS, YOU THINK THAT WAS PLANNED. YOU WERE ALL A BIG MISTAKE.”

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO MY MOTHER WHO DIED 17 YEARS AGO TODAY!!

4-12-1927 to 5-9-1998.
Gone but certainly not forgotten.

  • William Squirlock Sorry for the loss of your mom, I wish I could have met her. I know that she was a lovely person to be around and very lenient cause it reflects. The year or so that you were working in my school had me feeling finally someone under stood. You taught me how to take an opportunity and do well with it.
I will never forget about you, there will always be a good high school memory of you. Thanks for being there as my Vice Principal. But Drew Silock pops was really cool too. Lol
