On January 1, 2010, I discovered that my furnace had a puff back, an explosion that spewed heating oil all over my house. Most of my possessions were damaged and my house was unlivable for an extended period of time. I had to live with my sister at this time. Finally on March 9, I was able to return home to a cleaned, mostly empty house.
