Tending to My Third Eye- Nepal- 2017

Most of my spa treatments here, in Nepal,  cost $8 to $15 dollars. But my treatment to purify my Third Eye cost almost $50 and I had to secure an appointment in advance so that they had enough warm oil.

I laid on a massage table for two hours. A copper siphon was placed a few inches above my head and very so slowly, warm oil dropped right in the middle of my forehead, on my third eye. It was such warm, comforting sensation. Quickly, the oil slid down the side of my face and hair and dripped in the bowl on the floor. Every few minutes, the masseur would quietly approach me and massage my head with all this excess oil. And then she would quietly step away.

After two hours, my hair and shoulders were drenched in oil and she came back for one last hair, head and shoulder massage. She attempted to soak up much of the oil with a towel. But that wasn't very effective as there was just too much oil. She offered to wash my hair but I declined.

My hear looked like Medusa but that didn't matter to me. My head was vibrating and I wanted my skin to soak in as much oil as possible.

I walked the streets with this crazy hair and went back to my hotel. I laid a towel on the pillow and closed my eyes and fell in to a deep, deep sleep.
