Seaside Heights, NJ
I was exploring in my car and wandered down this street which just caused me to pull over and long for the days when beach houses were just small bungalows where people escaped to avoid the heat and pressures of the city. There was no fanfare to these homes, no air conditioning. They just served as sleeping quarters and outdoor showers to remove the sand from your body. They were nothing fancy. Most of the furniture was your broken furniture from your city house. You didn't need a lot of furniture then. You just spent the whole day on the beach where it was cool. In the evening, you grabbed a sweater and went back to the beach until the bugs got to be too much. Then you went home and got up again and spent the whole day at the beach yet again.
