Movies 2025

 Movies 2025

I love going to the movies.  I usually don't like watching a movie at home as other things distract me and my focus is not strong enough to surround to those temptations.  I need to watch a movie in a movie theater.

  • Nickel Boys- I read the book a few years ago so I was interested to see this movie.  But the movie felt disjointed.  And the cinemetogry was so shaky that I felt nausea and had to leave after an hour.
  • The Brutalist- it was 3.35 hours long and the movie was painful.
  • I'm Still Here- This was a great movie.  I will never understand man's inhumanity to man.
  • Champions of the Golden Valley- a movie about an Afghanistan Ski Club. Females were allowed to participate and when Afghanistan collapses, these girls had to flee the country.
  • The Only Girl in the Orchestra- I thought this movie was mediocre.
  • Oscar shorts- action movies-
  • Oscar Shorts- Documentaries- OMG, these movies can be so hard to watch.
  • The Penguin Lessons- It was a pleasant, feel good movie.
  • Cool Running- I saw this movie when it first hit the theaters 20+ years and liked it. But when I watched it this time and the team lost the race but still carried their sled to the finish line, I juts teared up.
  • Wedding Banquet- I started out being disappointed in this moive becasue of the dialogue and the acting but the story grew on me.
  • Friendship- it was strange and I would only recommend anyone to watch it if it was being watched for free on a streaming service.
  • Mission Impossible- this is not my taste for a movie.
  • Jane Austen Wrecked My Life
  • Phoen- Wes Anderson- I liked it but didn't love it.  I think I will go back and listen to it again. And I hate not loving his movies.
  • Superman - I don't like action hero movies.
  • Reinfenstahl- Hilter's propaganda cinematographer. She never acknowledged her role in his ugly campaign.
  • Jaws- I have never seen this movie but I have heard so much about it that it was almost comical. Im glad I only paid $5 to see this movie.
  • The History of Sound- I liked it and it filled me with saddenss that these two men could not maintain their relationships because of thier sexuality.
  • Unknown Number- the story of a mother who cyber bullied her own child fro two, long, dreadful years.
  • Rental Family- I just am not sure if I liked the concept of this move. Too many incidents seemed unethical.
  • Eternity- if eternity is this complicated, you can have it. I'll go to hell!!
  • Ella McCay- I wish I had waited to watch this movie on Netflix. It was light and entertaining but not worthy of a $13 ticket.
  • Wicked 2- I liked the first movie better. This one was hard to follow becasue I had forgotten some of the nuisances of the first movie.
  • Numenberg- This was a dreadful and well done movie.
  • Cover Up - a documentary about Seymour Hersch, a journalist who uncovered too many of our awful crimes committed by the US government.
