I got to hang with gorillas. 

I Got Hearing Aids Because I Am Old.

We left northern Rwanda and made our way back to Kelgeli. We arrived in time for lunch and then we were all given a hotel room that we could use until we left for the airport at 5PM. It was hard to say goodbye to Danny as he has been so wonderful.

6-SU--Rwanda, Brussels, Frankfurt, PA 

It was a long day of travel. I did find a Leffe Brewery in the Brussells's airport.  I had a beer which gave me a buzz and I thought I was in Frankfurt and would just hop on my plane and sleep the whole way home.  But then I realized that I was in Brussels and had a flight to Frankfurt and a three hour layover so I suffered a little with this buzz.

I finally got home around 6:30 PM and I just got undressed and crawled in to bed.

7-M- PA

I slept until noon which means I spent the better part of 18 hours in bed, in a near coma. 

I’m in a bit of a fog. I’m overwhelmed to be home and back to my old life. I’m in limbo and not sure where I belong. This trip was extraordinary.

Kevin, JoJo and I went out for an ice cream cone and sat at Jack's Corner, on Gay Street, as I told my stories of my trip. I wonder how long I can tell my stories about this trip to people before they get tired of hearing them.

I participated in a webinar to learn my role as an internal poll watcher for the presidential election. 

8-TU- PA/DE

I had dinner with Jaye and Dom.  I haven't seen them for awhile and they wanted to hear about my trip. So they got an ear full of stories. Jaye looks great considering how close she is to being terribly sick.

9- W- PA

Chris would be 66 today. Fuck them. Fuck them every day until they die.

I went to the movies to see White Bird, another movie on the holocaust and I think I am finished in watching movies on the topic.

I finally went to the food store as I have very little of anything to eat here.

We found out that trump sent covid tests and supplies to Putin in 2020 while most americans had no access to these interventions.

In the evening, Ashley, Halle and Pam and I wrote voting postcards to infrequent voters in swing states. If Kamala doesnt win this election, I will lost faith in humanity.

10- TH- PA

I had my hearing aid appointment which I have been dreading.  Getting a hearing aid is yet another benchmark that I am old and frail.  It's been depressing me as I got closer to this appointment.  I had plans of ordering my hearing aids and coming home and crying and then moving on.  But much to my delight, I was surprised at how effective these hearing aids are going t be and they are weightless. I cant even feel them in my ear.  Now I cant wait until they come in so that I can hear more clearly. And, becasue they are blue tooth, I will never need ear plugs again.

I had to close my balcony door as it is going down to 47F tonight.  the last couple of nights have been chilly with the door open. I opened the door some time in April and it's been open ever since. When I close that door at night, I know it's the end of summer and beautiful weather.

Twitter: I hate him more and more every day. I think I can't hate him anymore but then he opens his stupid mouth and spews out something absolutely ridiculous and I hate him even more. I hate him.

I’m in Susquehanna county in northern PA. I am in search of a brewery in Susquehanna County and I found one: Country Trails Brewery in Lenox. They brew mostly non IPAs which pains me. But they do have a DPA which is delicious, the D & H trail. And the bartender gave me a sample of a porter and a stout.

I drove another hour to Wayne County, checked in to a mediocre hotel and made my way to the Here & Now brewery and had a flight and didn't like any of my beers. I didn't even want to drink them because they were so tasteless.

On another note, PSU barely won the football game today. But they won.

12- SA- PA

I found a brewery in Pike County, Jam Room Brewery in Honsdale. I had a flight of a stout, a pumpkin ale, a West Coast IPA and an East Coast IPA. I liked them all.

As I was headed home, I passed a church that proudly proclaimed to be a MAGA church. I took photos with the intent to report this place to the IRS for a violation of our tax laws. Churches can not preach politics in their churches.

Twitter: I just drove through Susquehanna county, Wayne county and pike country in rural PA. I expected hundreds of MAGA signs and there were very few. And I saw some Harris signs. This gives me hope. #HarrisForPOTUS

It is a beautiful fall day. It's sunny, warm and pleasant. I wish every day could be like this day.

Joanna and I hung in the lounge for about two hours. And when she left, Kristen showed up and she and I took mushroom gummies. And then we ordered an Italian hoagie and I went upstairs and got three delicious pumpkin ales and we drank them and hung by the fire pit and all motivation to be production for the day just died.

I did go to the fitness center and bike for tow miles.

I came home and went straight tot he fitness center and biked for two miles.

It was so damn cold in my apartment this morning. I opened to door to the balcony yesterday and forgot to close it last night and the temperature wnet down to 47F so it was pretty damn cold when I got up from bed. The floors were cold and I could hardly wait to put on my shoes to warm up my feet.

I had a zoom with Great Dame and with A Vote PA group and neither meeting had my full attention. I am losing my attention span. It's now about 5 minutes.

My flight was at 11:) PM last night so I got in to PHL around 7:39 MA and I went home and tried to sleep a little bit before my 1:30 PM Dr appointment. I had an appointment with a sleep doctor. And he is going to do a sleep study on me.  I have to get this particular ring and wear it on my finger, go to sleep and it will record my snoring, sleeping, waking, farting and all sorts of other things I do in my sleep.

I went to Sue's house at 10PM to spend the night. The Germans and I are headed to the beach for a quick visit. And so I want to be at Sue's house as soon as they are ready togo.

We headed out to LBI and it was a beautiful day so we stopped to get liquid refreshments and sat on the beach all afternoon. Finally, it just got oo damn cold to sit there any longer so we headed back to our hotel and get warm.

We went to Buckalew's for dinner.  I had the same thing I had when I was here in September: the baby back ribs.

26- SA- NJ/PA

We, of course, went to Uncle Will's Pancake House for breakfast and then we drove the island and went down to the lifghthouse.  I didnt climb the steps but the Germans did.

On the way back to Sue's house, i stopped in to Mary Graham's 70th birthday party at the Yard's Brewery.

27- SU- PA

I meet up with Tricia at the Brandywine River Museum. There was a woodworking artist on exhibit and his workshop museum in near my home.  This place has been on my list of potential places to visit.

Twister: My Republican BIL voted straight ticket today. He understood the assignment. #HarrisForPOTUS

I went to the county building to hand out Harris signs but the vibe wasnt with me.  I did this in 2020 and people were eager to take my signs. But the CCD group was already there with an established table and they were handling out plenty of signs so I didnt stay.

29- TU- PA

I went to the county building again to not.  There were only 10 people in line a fw days ago. But today, there were hundreds who were waiting in line. So I didnt line up.  I did try to hand out my Harris poster. But the Chester county Democrats had a pop up tent and were handing out lots of dem literature so I just went home.

I went to a tax planning workshop and now I am worried again about my damn money. Now I have to worry about strategies to protect my assets more hidden taxes. I have always been a good saver but a lost investor.

I went to the lounge to get some work done.  I was going to work there from 3-6  wtih a long list of things I had to get done. But Rich stopped by to talk politics. Kevin came by to talk about our plans for Saturday. Just as he left, Joanna showed up to chat.  And then Kristen came by and Joanna left but Charles showed up and then Rick came back and I didn't get any work done.

At 6:30 I met up with Dev and Sophia and we went out on Gay Street and handed out Harris signs. I was worried about Sophia's safety as she is so young. But Dev and I both agreed to stay very vigilant and watch for comments, language to gestures.  We didnt have any problems. But a few young women were hesitant to take out signs and walk thorough town. They dissent feel safe.

31-TH- PA

In the afternoon, I went to see the movie, The Conclave and loved, loved, loved it.  I couldn't beleive how riveting the story line was and the ending just could not have been anticipated.
