We Had Our Family Party

I had an exercise session today and my trainer wore me out. I had to take a nap.
I am in a bit of a panic mood about my party. I went to the Amish Market and got all of my saladas and was worried that I didnt have enough. So I stopped at the Giant Grocery and bought more food and now I have way too much.

I worked all damn day on getting ready for the family party. I am exhausted. I set everything in the lounge (except the alcohol) becasue no one is going to steal my stuff.

We had our yearly Family party. It was our Christmas in July(ish). The party was from 1-4 PM but the guests started showing up at 11:30AM and some didnt leave until 11:30PM. It was great fun. I had too, too too much food. My beer selection was a big hit. The dessert competition was poorly received. Heather's family couldnt make it and that was a huge disappointment.

I went over to the Warner Hotel to see everyone. Clay and Cindy went for the run. Clay ran 16 miles. Cindy ran 2. Kathy and Jim went to mass. Brian and Gus were up and moving around. Danny and John were dragging thier tails becasue they didn't get home from the bars until 2:30 AM. My guests all left around 10 this morning and I went over to Kildaires to join Kevin and friends for his retirement tribute.

I slept all damn day. And in the evening, I invited people here to have dinner with me in the lounge. About 20 people showed up and they all brought so much food that I really didnt get rid of much of my left over food from the family party. But all of the beer is gone so I am making progress.

In the afternoon, I went to the Fat Lady brewery, my 400th brewery to date. Sharon, Glenn, Bill M and deb G joined me The experience was mediocre.

I had my stretch session and it felt great.
Afterwards, Jaye and I went to see the movie Twister and we both decided that we will never live in Oklahoma and if we are ever in a Toronto situation, we will lay as low to the ground as possible.

I had my exercise session and I am making great progress. This guy is wearing me out.

Kristen and I went to Ironhill Brewery in search of the early release of pumpkin ale. We were a but too early. I will have to come back in two weeks. The brew master came out and chatted me up for a bit.

My exercise session wore me out but I am now able to lift my left leg almost up to a 90 degree angle.

I bought a new iPhone 15 Pro Max. I think it cost $1399. But I got to trade my old phone in for $800. And there seemed to be some sort of deal for me so it is only costing me $13/month for the next two years. And the camera capacity on this phone is so much better than what I have now and it will be perfect for my trip to Rwanda.
In the evening, I went to Artillery Brewery with Kevin to listen to Patti Leever's play the blues and they were great. I want to listen to them again.

I went to the store to buy gifts for the little boys and to buy accessories for my new million $$$ phone.

It's Theo's 2nd birthday. I love that adorable boy. Peter and Elliot were there and they are equally as beautiful. I love hanging with them.
Sharon told me that Bill has been in the hospital since Tuesday. He seems to have some sort of infection that cant be identified so the doctors are just pumping him with antibodies.

I was in the lounge tonight and Kristen stopped by and we drank beer and then Greg stopped by and he drank beer with us and then it was late in the evening and I hadn't gotten my steps in yet. But I still went down to the fitness center and put in 1 1/2 miles on the bike.
The Democratic National Convention started tonight and the moment was on fire with joy. I watched snippets on YouTube until early in the morning.

It's chilly today. I could use a sweater and that puts me in a bad mood. It's too cold for August. I dont think the pool will be warm enough for me for the rest of the summer.
I had dinner with KF. It was good to see her. I haven't seen much of her this year.
I came home and watched the DNC and enjoyed every minute of it. The Obamas spoke and set the place on fire.
I put in 4 miles on the exercise bike this evening.

I started the day with a weekly stretch session. I am so damn pleased with the results. I think I am going to ask to work on my back next week. Maybe it will be easier to support my torso if my muscles are stronger.
Afterwards, I went to Tricia's house to babysit Bill. He is finally out of the hospital and home and recovering.
I went down to the lounge to listen to the DNC. Barb showed up and sat down and brought me a beer and talked my ear off as I tried so hard to listen in to hear Amanda Gorman give a poem about America.

Several of us went to Kevin's fundraiser at the Knights of Columbus. It was a Crab fest and, of course, I ate like a pig.

In the afternoon, I had an Uptown gig at a local music fest. It was a bit boring.
I hung with Kristen at the pool. She was high from her experimentation with gummies.
I ordered some Harris swag.

In the evening, I had a very bad nose bleed. I tried to go to Urgent Care to see if they could stop the bleeding but they were closed. So I called Kristen to see if I should go to the Emergency Room at the hospital and she thought I should. I sat for several more minuted in the parking lot, hoping for the bleeding to slow down. once it did slow down, i lost my nerve to go the the hospital so I just came home and washed off. I was covered blood.
I checked in with Sam and no decisions were made about our trip to see joni Mitchell in October in LA. I cant wait.
I tried some new gummies and I slept like a baby.

I held my annual retired faculty lunch to day. Twelve people showed up. Three canceled at the last minute and the moment was pleasant. I posted our photo on FB and BY complained that he iddd get invited. I guess he just cant take a hint.
I watched the Caitlin Clark game. It wasnt on any station so I had to watch in by streaming a there was a big blue square in the middle of the screen so no one could show this game on the internet. That was annoying. But her team won and i think she is now having a 50/50 season which is a great improvement from last year.

I got a haircut and it was only $10 today.
I went to resolve my iPhone crisis. It appears as if my iCloud Find My Phone app was not erased and is blocking my $800 discount.
It was a gorgeous day even though it had a little bit of a fall day vibe. I would love it if every day was this beautiful.
The internet, in the lounge, is not working and I am off kilter.
I had three nose bleeds tonight between 6:00PM and 11:30PM. Blood was everywhere. I think I have some sort of problem and I may need to seek some medical attention.

I had a very physical day. I started with my weekly stretch session and then I moved on to my weekly physical training session. Then I came home and jumped in the pool (probably fro the last time this summer). And I am exhausted.
I looked around for a brewery to visit today but any new brewery is so far away now that i have been to most of them in the 5 county area near me (Chester, Delco, Berks, Philly, Montgomery). I am really going to have to travel far to find one I haven't visited.
The internet is not working and it is driving me crazy. I can not log in to our system.
I am officially at 36K followers on Twitter. Reaching this number has been so frustrating. Ever since Elon Musk took over twitter, my tweets have gone dark and I have not been able to bring my number of followers up. I have added thousands but the numbers down add up. I should be well over 50K at this point.

I was up so damn early and I was so damn tired but I had to pick Sue up at the hospital and take her home. She had knee surgery yesterday and she looks great today. I spent the day with her and she struggled to accept any help from me and she was embarrassed to ask for any help. yet, she helps everyone.
In the evening, we had an end of summer party. This time of year fills me with sadness as I know I have the long winter ahead of me. It seems like summer goes by in three days and the winter lasts for a life time.
I went to bed really early as I was so damn tired.

I sent a text to my doctor about my nose bleeds. She doesn't seem too concerned. She wants me to get some sort of nasal spray and stay away from fans. Apparently, fans dry out your nasal passage.
Kevin served margaritas in the lounge. It's Jimmy Buffet Day in Florida so we decided to join in their celebration. Jim brought his wireless speaker and we cranked up the volume and sang Margaritaville several times. And while we got louder and louder, we never got any better.

I'm off to visit Heather and her family. They've moved to NJ and I really miss them,
In the evening we went to the Drowned Lands Brewery- NY. All of my beers were delicious.
Afterwards we went to a drive in movie to watch the Depectables. I loved listening to the boys' giggles.
