  A month after she died, I found about 100 of her paintings, finished and unfinished, under a bed in the back room. My siblings and I divided them up. I have 8 of them hanging in my bedroom and last night, I gave this painting to Kathy Bandos, my friend of 55 years. I also gave a painting to her mother who was my mother's BFF.

  Like finding treasure but even better because it's from your mother. I feel like her personality comes thru in her art?? But I never met her.... it's just the feeling I get looking at her work

  I don't hve the patience to write, nor the talent to paint. I do however have the gift to tell a good story (the Blarney). I hope my kids will take some pride in that. I am never afraid to speak my mind, as you may have guessed.

  As I mentioned, my mom was an artist too. She went to art school in the 20's at Phila. Art Institute.She didn't have a lot of years to use her talent since she died when I was 5...she was only 42.

I think it is very pretty. I took watercolor painting a few years ago, never seem to get a pastel painting, they were always dark or bright.

When did she have time to be so prolific?. She had a few kids to take care of and painting wasn't her only creative outlet. I'll never forget the jackets she made which were stunning and perfectly fit each of your personalities. Did she ever sleep? She was amazing. I am so lucky and honored to have her black cat!!
