Sister Sebastian

I recently went back to my high school which was also a convent for nuns.  For some reason, I wandered over to the cemetery where all of the nuns are now buried.  And the first grave I found was Sister Sebastian's grave.

She was my grade school principal at our local Catholic parochial school in Philadelphia.  We called her Sea Dog and she was a mean spirited bitch. She was loudand gruff. She punched us and yelled at us and publically degraded us as often as possible. And she allowed the rest of  the faculty to do the same. We were always being hit for any variety of inconsistent reasons.

In 1963, when I was in third grade, she was 67. She was older than my grandparents. There was nothing joyful about this woman. I wonder if she is now resting in peace.
