Cape May Brewery-
NJ
You don't stumble upon this brewery; you have to go out looking for it. It's in the middle of a industrial park, in the middle of nowhere. But it is worth the hike. The beers are great. They offer 24 selections of beers and ginger ale. My beers were favorful:
Avalon Coffee Stout- YES; no chocolate taste which I don't like in a coffee stout. It's just pure coffee taste.
Cape May IPA- the signature beer- YES; crisp and hoppy, just like I like it.
Concrete Ship- Russian Imperial Stout- YES; a deep, rich taste.
White Caps 2X IPA- Yes; maybe this could be a summer beer for the beach. It's a little lighter than I like.
Dank IPA- ABV 6,1%; OK; this beer is cloudy and fruity and not hoppy enough for me to go back to a second glass.
Demisemisept Centennial- Brewed for Villanova's 175th anniversary; we are in Wildcat Country even in NJ- OK: it would be easy to drink a lot of these beers but not my preference.
Cape May IPA Nitro- ABV 6.3%- Yea but I don't really get Nitro. I think I have to give this option up and leave it to the people who don't like carbonation.
Geek Out- American Wild Ale- A bit stronger than a lager but not enough for me to go back to this beer.
This is a New Jersey Brewery so you MUST take a stupid tour before you can be served (yet another state law that gets in the way of small business successes).
FUN FACT/ Bragging Fact: "Our 30 foot silo, which helps us reduce our carbon footprint by limiting the ned for deliveries, holds 50,000 pounds of grain."
Other BEERS to Consider: Biscuit and Honey, Honey Porter. Devil's Reach, Corrosion Sour IPA, Erosion American Ale
