7 Locks Brewery
Rockville, MD
It sits in an industrial park with other businesses. The front door is warehouse pulley door that opens up to a large, under furnished room. There are lots of board games to play. The atmosphere is sparse which I prefer. All of the focus should be on the beer. There is no food service but food trucks pull up in the alleyway on weekends.
As usual, I ordered a flight: 5 (4oz) beers for $8, a pretty good deal. I ordered a Citra Session Pale Ale, Surrender Dorothy Rye IPA, Farmhouse Strong Ale, Juniper Lager (Nitro) and Blockhouse Point Stout (Nitro)).
I liked all of my beers, even the lager which is very unusual for me.
Most of the seats were taken on this early Wednesday night. The bartenders seemed to know the clientele. Those who sat at the bar engaged in conversation about the beer. I always like that but today, I isolated myself off in to a corner and drank without conversation.
I like this place and recommend a visit.
