It was an effort fro me to get to the brewery but I was able to find a nice variety of beers to try.
- INLET IPA- YES
- DELAWARE OYSTER STOUT- YES
- REGAL EAGLE- YES- cinnamon and nutmeg
- CAGE FIGHT BOLD PALE ALE-- YES- mango and pineapple
- BABY'S LUNCH DOUBLE IPA- YES
- PETERS DEPTFORD RETREAT RUSSIAN IMPERIAL STOUT- YES
The Cage Fight Ale was the most unusual beer of the day. For all of the complaining I do about fruit beers, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this beer. It was refreshing and tasty and could possibly made it to my summer ale list because it is still bold and heavy but with a pleasant lightness about it.
This is a small place which results in an opportunity for everyone to chat with one another and make recommendations. With 16 beers on the menu, there are a lot of choices, so recommendations come in handy.
I particularly appreciated the waitress' insistence that no one feel pressed to drink more than necessary. This place is out of the way but a pleasant destination.
