How does one get started? And congress or senate? This would/will be a daunting task it seems. The time seems right in the country's climate. Sorry it's late

Assuming you would run as a D, I'd go to your local group and see what's open. There are few day long trainings that help you organize your campaign.

When I ran for state senate in MD, I had to go to Annapolis and file. But I think you need a certain amount of signatures on a petition to file. I am going to sign petitions on Friday so I will find out how many signatures are needed.

When I ran I was told there was no chance of winning. But I didn't want that challenge to go unopposed. And I wanted voters to hear another side to issues.

So many regular Joe's are making the effort. I'm probably way too late for 2018 but 2020 (thankfully) is not too far off
