A Message From A Student #14

A Message From A Student #14

From One of My Students in China

Christmas 2021

I never get used to these messages from my students. When I get this kind of feedback, I reflect on how much I gave and how much more i should have given.  How lucky am I to have this much love.

 Dear Bridget,

Holiday greetings!

The attached photo, Jumping in the desert, was taken on March in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, northwestern China. Back then, we just started our way into 2021 after a really tough year of 2020. All we wanted for 2021 is change. But in the meantime, I deeply understand that change won't come until I do it. The best thing I can do to make a difference is doing my job to the BEST.

In 2021, I did that by improving children’s all-round education and empowering women.  Some of the key projects and events I’ve involved in include: Renaissance for Children—Joint Education Project by China-Italy Philanthropy Families, The Enlightenment of Love –Rural Children’s Art Education Project, The First China Family Philanthropy Forum, International Conference on Poverty Reduction and Child Development, Women’s Economy Summit, Women Empower Award in China, Diversity and Inclusion Workshop, Compassion Award etc. I am very proud that through what I do I am able to add values to our communities and contribute my bit to change the world into a better place.

In addition to the busy work, I also did a lot for fun, such as hike and camp on the Great Wall, hike in the desert, relax on the beach, ride horse on the prairie, visit the famous Chaka Salt Lake and many others.

Without your support as friend, mentor and family, I won’t become who I am today, may not do so many meaningful and impactful things in life.  Thank you for putting your love to me!

With this deep sense of gratitude, I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Love
Mandy
