The Price of Gas

The Price of Gas

September 2014

Elkton, MD

At 4PM today, I bought gas for $3.27/gallon. At 7PM, it was $3.19/gallon. What happened over those three hours that caused every gas station in my area to drop their prices by 8 cents? And is it unreasonable to go back to the gas station and demand an 88 cent refund?

I noticed that they raise the prices on Fridays. Payday rate? Lol

The gas station isn't in charge of their pricing, I don't think the company is either. When I worked for Turkey Hill it would happen often but the individual store had nothing to do with price changes.

I didn't think gas stations were allowed to change their prices mid-day.

Let's hope it keeps going down. Hoping there will be relief for people with home heating bills this winter.

my suggestion is to drive around to empty your tank so you can get the better deal (this is NOT to be read by anyone who understands math)

I know, I filled up again today for $3.19 and then I saw the $3.13. Now I am down $1.54 in excess gas costs.
