Tending Her Farm- Nepal
Tending Her Farm
Imodol, Nepal
December 2017
There are farms all up and down my street. All of them are small, maybe no bigger than 5' x 20' and most of them are managed by women. They work in bare feet. They are wrapped in layers of cloth which serve to protect them from the sun and to preserve their modesty. They stoop for hours and pull weeds. Then they haul buckets of water from the community well and water their crops. And when they are finished, they sit with the other women and talk.
