She was at least 80 years old and she ran the school store in my high school. She mostly sold pencils, erasers and pens. But she badgered us to buy rosaries, cross and holy cards as well. And if you didn't buy some of these religious items form time to time, you got on her shit list.
I was on her shit list.
I just posted this photo to my high school facebook group. And here is a statement of validation from one of my friends:
"Your arch-enemy.
Me: Inside store purchasing whatever. Probably erasers.
Her: Looking toward the door where a fair-haired figure lurks. ‘Is that you Bridget Bridget E Kelly? I see you. Don’t you step foot into this store!’
Me: Scream laughing. Oh the abuse they suffered at our hands. I hope she’s having fun in Paradise."
