Some of my thoughts, memories and things:


  • Egypt- October 2010- the first trip I took when I retired.
  • Eileen- my middle name.
  • Egrets- my favorite bird.  They are so pre-historic.
  • England- I've been there several times and it's so easy to get around.
  • Easter- I hate this holiday.
  • East Coast, USA- I have driven the entire rout of Interstate 95.
  • Eastern State Penitentiary- PHL- what an interesting museum.
  • Europe- I've visited Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Spain, Portugal,Wales, Jersey,  Italy, Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Latvia, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Russia.
  • Eat, Pray, Love- a great book.
  • Empowering Women- my daily goal.
  • Elk Creek Brewery- PA- I like to go here.
  • Elkton, MD- the largest city in Cecil County, where I live.
  • Ellicot City Brewery- MD- go here if you are in the neighborhood.
  • Evil Genius Brewery- PA- good beers.
  • Evolution Brewery- MD
  • Ethel Reimer- my grandmother.  She died when she was 52 so I never knew her.
  • Eagle Scout Ceremoniess- I have been to several of these ceremonies and every one is an accomplishment.  Any time I read a resume that indicated that the candidate is an Eagle Scout, he automatically got an interview.
  • Eiffel Tower- Paris, France- 1979- I can't remember how I climbed this tower.
  • Eleanor Roosevelt's House- NY- she was a woman ahead of her time.
  • Elephant Rides- Thailand, Sri Lanka, Botswana- I don't need to go on any more of these rides.
  • Empire State Building- I visited this place fro the first time 1963.
  • Eddie Izzard- he is so damn funny.
  • Endless Summer- the movie- 1965- I thought this movie was spectacular.  I watched it 50 years later and was stunned at how sexist it was.
  • Everglade National Park- FL- 2010
  • Eastern Bluebird- I've seen one in VA.
  • Egyptian Goose- I've seen a whole flock of these birds.
  • Everest- I am obsessed with this mountain.
  • Email- when I was working, I would get over 100 emails a day.
  • Erie- I knew a few people from Erie and they described their city as "Dreary Erie, the Mistake by the Lake". I've only been here once but I liked the city.
  • Emergency Room- I think I've found myself here at least three times.
  • Eclipse- I watched the eclipse this summer, 2018.
  • Ecuador- first stop on my way to Galapagos in 2002.
  • Evenings, after the sun has gone down- my favorite time of night.
  • Epsom Salt- for what ails you. I pour it in to my hot tub and just soak.
  • Ernest Shackleton- one of my obsessions.
  • EWR- Newark- an easy airport to use for international travel.
  • EZPass- I have two of the passes for two different states and that can be a challenge.
  • Emerald Island- 2000- My whole family went to Ireland together.
  • Emeralds- my favorite gem.
  • Elliot- my great nephew.
  • Elvis Presley- I've been to his house in TN.
  • Excitable- I can be.
  • Eggs and Bacon- a breakfast favorite.
  • Elephant Ears- "a flaky French pastry with brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans." I sold hundreds of them and said this line thousands of times when I worked at the Crust and Crumb Bakery (NJ).
  • Ed Sullivan Show- I remember when the Beatles came on his show.  The whole world was watching.
  • Ellen- her sitcom- I loved the show where Martha Stewart was the guest.  It was so damn funny.
  • Eight Below- movie- those poor dogs suffered.
  • Elf- this movie is stupid and hysterical.
  • English Patient- a beautiful movie.
  • Erin Brockovich- movie- this woman had a lot of chutzpah.
  • Easter Islands- this place is on my bucket list.
  • Earth, Wind and Fire- one of my favorite groups from the late 1970's.
  • Edie Brickell- an underrated musician.
  • Eagles- every time I see an eagle, I am thrilled. They are magnificent birds.
  • Ephrata Closiers- PA- a strange place for a once, strange community.
  • Elaine Eisner- I traveled to Mongolia (2006) and Egypt (2010) with her.
