Work:
  • I was a Career Advisory for the Community Education Program for the State College School District, State College, PA.
  • I was also spending lots of time interviewing for a position of assistant principal for a high school.  This proved to be a challenge as so few women held this position.  It was thought by many that women could not handle this position because high school boys are too tough to handle.

Housing- I moved a lot this year because I was looking for a permanent job and didn't want to sign a year lease for an apartment so I filled in on other people's sublets.  I think I moved every three months.

  • I defended my dissertation in March and became a Doctor of Education (DEd) with a major in Educational Leadership. It took five years to complete this damn degree.
