Carpenter's Point's Point, MD and

West Chester, PA

1- OMG, I had a great dinner at Johnnie’s Sushi House with Joann.  I love this place.

2- Started reading David Sedaris’ new book.  It’s over 500 pages.  He is so damn clever.

3- Dinner in Philly with Deb Green. I can’t wait until I live in a small city.

4- It’s a beautiful day and I am sitting in my back yard with lots of birds.  I love to sit in my back yard.

5- Another library meeting.  I am almost finished with this obligation.

6- Went to five breweries today with Jen Hogan: 2nd Story, Yards, St. Benjamins, Evil Genius, and Dock Street.  I am exhausted.

7- I wasn’t too productive today.  I certainly can waste a day, doing very little and wondering where the day went.

8- Finished Carrie Fischer’s book, Princess Diaries.  She is a clever writer.

9- I took a quick trip to Stroudsburg to see Betsy Paugh and Darcy’s kids.  I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since Darcy died.

10- It’s a gorgeous day and I am spending it packing for my move.  I should be kayaking.  I have too much stuff.

11- Tricia and Lauren came down to help me pack and they were a big help.

12- I spent the day on Long Beach Island with my German friends.  It was hard to pull me away but I had to get home to pack.

13- I didn’t do much today except burn yard cuttings.  Damn, I will be happy to be rid of this task.

14- Had yet another library meeting and then we all went out for drinks.  These people are nice people.

15- I moved to West Chester, PA to a one bedroom apartment.  I am so happy. Sharon and Glenn stopped by for dinner.

16- Woke up in my new apartment and had an urge to go home to my house.  Dom and Jaye stopped by for lunch. We went to the Social Restaurant.

17- Sue Frantz came down from Stroudsburg for the day.  We sat by the pool and went to Iron Hill and the Side Bar.

18- Went to Jaye and Dom’s house for a Father’s Day dinner. Then I drove down to my house in MD.

19- Waited for the electrician but he canceled at the last minute. Damn him.

20- Had yet another library meeting in the morning.  Made it back to PA in the afternoon to meet with Katie Cole.  She needed some job advice.

21- Tricia and Bill stopped by my new place and we had a late dinner.

22- Had dinner with my high school friends.  We get together a few times a year.

23- Lauren came over and we sat by the pool. It was fun to be with her.

24- Kathy Flatley came by for lunch.  We ran up a $50 bill. I am going to have to watch how much money I spend on all of these lovely restaurants in my new neighborhood.

25- Tricia and Deb Green came for lunch.  We ate at Restaurant 151.

26- The Library Foundation hosted a Harry Potter dinner as a fundraiser.  I was surprised at how much fun it was.

27- I had lunch with Joann at her house in MD.  I am going to miss her now that I have moved.

28- I finally went food shopping for my new apartment and I am so happy that I have so many nice grocery shops near my apartment.  I am not used to all these options.

29- Sharon and I went to a live taping of Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, one of my favorite radio shows.  I always wanted to do this. The taping lasted two hours and the final show will be 47 minutes.  So, it will be interesting to see what is edited.  I think the comments about Senator Mitch McConnell looking like turtle face will be cut.

30- Spent the afternoon at the pool in my apartment complex with Joann and the three Monteloeone boys.  Jimmy came and picked them up at the end of the day and we went out for ice cream.  I have to control all of this eating out behaviors.
