Gum Wall

Gum Wall
Seattle, WA
February 2017

"Want to see something gross?" Heather, my niece asked us.

I am with Clay, her cousin, my nephew.  We have a 20 hour flight layover to Anchorage.  So Heather is giving us a quick tour of the city.

"How gross?" I ask her.

"Not too bad," she replied.

So we make our way to the notorious Gum Wall.

"They just cleaned it last week and look at it," she commented.

It is gross and I wonder what type of person has an urge to stick a chewed piece of gum on a random wall. And as I am think about this, Heather pulled out six pieces of gum and hands us two pieces each.  We chew wildly for the next few minutes and then with great enthusiasm, we smush our gum on the wall and link our pieces together as if this is an important bonding moment.  We laugh, take a few photos and move on to our next stop.
