Traveling Cross Country
February 2017
An Observation
I was aboard an Amtrak train, traveling from Baltimore, MD to Emeryville, CA. it took four days and I loved every minute of the trip. And of, course, I documented as much of the trip as possible because that is what we do in this electronic age of ours. Every moment has to be captured. We didn't have Wifi on the train so I had to upload my 250 photos on Facebook as we waited in train stations. My "friends" loved my photos and commented they wanted to take this trip. I got lots of positive responses for all of my photos except this one.
Apparently, the young man on his cell phone offended them. it was OK fro me to use my phone to post photos but it was not OK fro him to use his phone.
- "Are half of those folks on their phones??"
- "You are on a cross country trip in a fantastic observation window and these people are looking at their phones??? They should be in a closet with WIFI and their seats given to people who would appreciate them."
- "My thoughts exactly".
- "Those people are ridiculous! Why in heavens name would they be in the observation car, and be looking at their phones?? Stupid!!"
- "Your observations are a great perspective."
- "Keep sharing."
- "Thanks for sharing the world with us".
