Slipping In To Fall

SLIPPING IN TO FALL

One day it is warm and the lawn needs to be cut and the birds are abuzz and the sun warms my back.  And then, I turn around and my garden is slipping away from me.  Nothing is in bloom.  There are more leaves on the ground.  I need a sweater at night.  It gets dark earlier and my neighbors stop coming t the beach.  We are slipping in to Fall and I didn't even notice.
