IPA- Irish Style

I love a delicious IPA (India Pale Ale).  That is mostly what I drink anymore. And so, when I went to Ireland recently, I was delightfully surprised to see so many offerings of IPA choice.  After about my third attempt to find a good IPA, I was told that IPA means Irish Pale Ale. Hence, the hops were barely tasted.

But I did find this India Pale Ale and loved it and loved the seafood chowder that went along with it.  And I loved looking out the window and seeing the Irish Sea in full view.  And I loved the little fishing village and I loved this day.

AI Haikus #1

I've started a new project.  I am going to generate AI Haikus about the orange idiot. Here we go:

1. Topic:  Trump's disregard for immigrants:

Walls rise in the dust,

Voices lost in bitter winds,

Hope turns into scars.

2. Topic:  mercy and immigrants:

Borders crossed in hope
Families seeking refuge here
Mercy heals all wounds

3. Topic: Trump's disregard of America

Gold towers rise high,
Empty hands reach for relief
Promises like dust

4. Topic- kindness to transgenders

Hearts see past the veil
Names and truth a\embraced with love
You are whole and true

5. Topic- Trump's dangerous leadership:

A leader unwise
Chaos blooms in his wake's dust
Truth lost in the storm

6-Topic: Trump's selfishness

Golden towers rise,
echoes of "me" fill the air,
truth left far behind.

7- Topic: Trump's silly obsession with Greenland

Greenland on his mind,
Icebergs, deals, and empty dreams,
A land not to buy.

8-  Topic: Trump getting booed at the Super Bowl:

Mixed cheers and some jeers
Trump appears on the big screen
Super Bowl echoes

9- Topic:  Trump's immaturity:

Tweets like a thunder,
A child in a grown man’s skin,
Words sharp as daggers.

10- Topic: Embracing immigration

Open arms extended
bringing lands with warmth and care
home is made with love

Women's Christmas

I never heard of this day. But I’m going to add it to my celebrations!
Happy Nollaig na mBan to all women everywhere 💚💚💚
Nollaig na mBan, also known as Women's Christmas, is a traditional Irish celebration that takes place on January 6th. A day for women to take a break and celebrate together.
It’s a beautiful Irish tradition that is coming back into its own in recent years, serving as a reminder to pause and appreciate the women in our lives, and to recognize the value of taking time for rest and rejuvenation.
It is a special day to honor and celebrate women 💚💚💚

A group of women from our two local churches joined together to celebrate Women’s Christmas today…first time ever and it was wonderful. I had never heard of it before…certainly hoping the tradition continues. Good wishes on Epiphany too. ✨🙏🕊️
