 Highs and Lows

of 2025

  • I started out the new year with a10 day respiratory infection.
  • The orange idiot is back in office.

  • I booked a trip to two of the Stan countries (Uzbekistan and Tajikistan), in search of the Silk Road.
  • The Eagles won the Super Bowl.
  • I took a two week road trip to Florida for Jane Momer's daughter's wedding. I also got to see Jaye, Leslie and Pam along the way.
  • Jaye told me that Dom has had a 9 year relationship with another woman and I am devastated.
  • I finally got to meet Sidney. He is beautiful.
  • I traveled to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. I got to a brewery in Uzbekistan.
  • My two visits to the NJ rookery were successful and fun.
  • Clay graduated from Bradford University and started a graduate program at Marshall University in WV.
  • Gus graduated from VA Tech.
  • I reached the threshold to join the Century Club. But I didn't join. It's sort of a BS club.
  • The reconstruction in the building is driving me crazy.
  • Deb Green's daughter got married and the whole event was elegant, stress free and enjoyable. I got up and danced with all of the bride's friends and I am just a terrible dance but I do exhibit enthusiasm. So that has to count for something.
  • Danny got engaged.
  • Jameson got married.
  • I turned 70 in July. At this time in my life, my mother was terminally ill with cancer.
  • I booked a trip to Tunisia for Sept 27- Oct 14, 2025. I also booked the pre-trip to Algeria but this portion of the joinery got canceled. Not enough of us were interested in traveling there.
  • Jaye spent almost 40 days in the hospital for a fever in September and again in October and November.
  • Mason invited me, and only me, to his baseball game.
  • I booked a trip to Mexico for the Day of the Dead celebration.
  • The No Kings March was the largest march in history.  I joined the march in West Chester, PA in June and October.
  • Deana Jesperson died too soon.
  • Jim Staudt graduated from his Radiology Technology program.
  • I booked a trip to Ethiopia for February.
  • The snow geese haven't returned yet and I miss them.
  • I saw a Pink Spoonbill in the wild. Three of them ended up in Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge in DE for a few weeks.
  • Penn State won its championship game.
  • No cancer in my family this year.
