 My computer just started reading, out loud, everything I type on my computer. Does anyone know how to shut this annoying guy up.

  Must have turned your accessibility settings. Go into your control panel, look for accessibility settings, and find Microsoft text to speech. You should be able to turn it off there. Unless the robotic singularity has achieved sentience and your computer is realities version of Skynet... In that case we're all screwed.

  It's the "other" campaign, infiltrating your computer in an effort to cause you to question your sanity and therefore your resolve in running this race. Just talk back to it, with an air of confidence and/or attitude. It's good practice for debating and public campaigning!

  Kris, that is exactly what it feel like. The voice is so distracting and now there is a floating blue text box that has shown up on my screen as well. I am going to have to restore my computer because I cant seem to resolve either of these issues.

  Sam, I can find the text to speech section but I don't see where I can turn this damn option off.

  if the restore option doesn't work, then the hammer is next. I just bought a MAC and am trying to make the adjustment from PC to MAC and this new bug is helping my learning curve.

  I am happy to report that I got rid of the voice in my computer. No comment on any other voices I hear.
