Baltimore, Md
Located in an industrial park, this warehouse/brew house is a fun find. They have 8 beers on tap. A fight includes four 4oz beers for $5, a good deal. I tried the Bishops. Breakfast (N) Oatmeal Stout, Balls to the Wall (American Pale Ale), Creator/Destroyer (an expresso brown ale) and Shoot out the Lights (dry hopped ale). I also tried the Afterglow (Peach Smoked Belgium Ale).
Other beers to consider: Coventry Cream (English Bitter), Staring taste Sun (Belgium wheat) and Cherry Blossom (Cherry Wheat Ale). They brew a double IPA beer from time to time to commemorate a local band release party. Good for them.
They serve cheese plates and meat plates which were a perfect accent to the beers. And sometimes they have food trucks as well. There was lots of talk today about the grilled cheese truck that was coming next week.
Shoot Out the Lights is only 4% alcohol but it was still filled with lots of flavor. This would make a great summer beer for me.
The Creator/Destroyer had the highest alcohol content at 6%. And it was very good. It was rich, dark and filled with a strong coffee flavor. There were no tastes of chocolate with I do not like in a beer so I would drink this beer again and again.
The Afterglow (Peach smoked Belgium Ale) had more of a smoked flavor rather than a peach flavor. It was refreshing and I could drink this throughout the evening.
The Bishop’s Breakfast stout was a nitro which I didn’t realize until after I ordered it. That didn’t matter. It was strong in taste but light in volume. Sometimes stout fill me up but this one didn’t, so, it was easy to drink.
Balls to the Wall, the American Pale Ale, was my favorite beer even though that beer only had a 5% alcohol content.
This place is quiet, hidden away and worth the effort to go there.
