Massachusetts
- My favorite trip to this state was in 2012 when I went to the Sam Adams Brewery for the weekend and we did some sort of Sam Adams activity every day. We went to the brewery twice to try their special releases. We took the beer trolley to Doyle's Bar and got our free Sam Adams glasses. We went down to Quincy Market to go to two specific bars that only sold limited releases at their bar.
- In 1995, went to Tanglewood to listen to the symphony on a cool July evening. Out host brought a beautiful table cloth for us to sit on. There was champagne, caviar and lox. OMG, the moment was magical and expensive.
- My friend, Darcy, asked me to join her as she had to take her daughter to an orientation meeting at Boston University. What a great university. What a great opportunity for this kid. When I went to college, I just showed up that first day. No one showed me around and offered me study opportunities of a lifetime. I was jealous.
- After I graduated from college, in 1977, my friend and I went to Boston for a few days and visited with my cousin who lived there for a few years. I don't remember much except that we drank a lot.
- I went with our band high school students in 2000. We took 150 kids. I was the principal. One of my students was throwing fire snaps down from the opening of the rontuda at Quincy Market and people thought someone was shooting at them. I wanted to beat the shit out of this kid.
