Some of my memories and thoughts:



  • France- I've been here three times. I don't particularly like this country.
  • Florida- I like to visit here for short periods of time.  But I do not think I could live here.  I like the change of seasons.
  • Flathead Brewery- MT- I spent a rainy afternoon here and I loved every minute of it.
  • Flying Fish Brewery- PHL- check it out.
  • Flying Dog Brewery- MD- one of my favorite breweries.  I've been here several times.
  • Fishing- I like the idea of fishing but I hate killing fish.
  • Fiji- 2015- what a paradise!!!
  • Feminist- YES, I AM..
  • Fruit- I prefer to make smoothies from my fruits.
  • Flatleys- a family that lived down the street.  They had 10 kids.
  • Florence, Italy- my favorite city in Italy.
  • Form vs Function- I lean towards function.
  • Frogs- I love to watch frogs.
  • Fish- I had an aquarium for about a year and I just kept killing them. Now, I like to go snorkeling and swim with them.
  • French Toast- I love French toast but I don't eat it anymore.
  • French Fries- I don't eat them anymore either.
  • Fields of Dreams- Kevin Costner- A feel-good movie
  • Fields of Gold- Sting first released this song but I like how Eva Cassidy does it better.
  • Field Trips- I loved to go on field trips when I was in high school.  I loved forfeiting my stupid classes for a day.
  • Francis of Assisi- I always thought he was a wonderful man but modern history has not been kind to him.. Some people today think he is a kook.
  • Fire Drills- as a high school principal, I pulled the fire alarm at least 100 times and every time I heard that siren blare through the building, I was panic just a bit and then the moment turned in to a cheap thrill.
  • Falling Waters- Pittsburgh, PA- Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece.  Go see it.
  • Forbidden City- Beijing, China- 2012
  • Fabian- He sang at my high school prom.  He seemed like an old man at the time but he was only 30 and already a has-been.
  • For What It's Worth- Stephen Stills- a great song from the late 1960s.
  • French Quartets- New Orleans- this is a wild, drunken city.
  • Freedom Trails- Boston, MA- thank god for the revolution.
  • Finger Lakes- NY- i want to kayak through here.
  • Floating Markets- Viet Nam- I can never get used to how some people work.
  • Front Porch- my parents' home in Philadelphia had a large front porch that we treated like a second living room.  In the warm months, we would finish dinner and head to the porch for a cup of tea,  We would stay out there until the bugs became annoying.
  • Frankfurt, Germany- I've been here twice and mostly I drank beer in the Old City Square and it was a lovely way to spend time.
  • F. Scott Fitzgerald- he was my favorite author in high school. Now I think he is a little boring.
  • Fitsgeralds- Pauline and Ed, the host of a daily NYC radio show in the 1960s.
  • Facials- I love this treatment more than massages.
  • Facebook- I spend too much time on this damn site.
  • Four Tops- one of my favorite Motown groups,
  • Freddie Printz- I was so sad when he committed suicide.
  • Fire- I love to watch a burning fire.
  • Fermented Mare's Milk- the beverage of choice in Mongolia.  It is awful. It tastes like vomit.
  • Florence and the Machine- I don't know a lot about this group but I like everything I recognize.
  • From Good to Great- one of the few books I had to read for work which was really worth my time.
  • French 75- a drink from my college days.  It was champagne and ginger ale.
  • February- this month brings me down so now I try to travel to warm places during this month.
  • Frank Sinatra- I could take his music in small doses.
  • Four Grand Boys- my grandfather's view of his four sons.
  • Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas- Hunter S. Thompson- a very strange man but he can really tell a story.
  • Fidel Castro- he was my father's age and he was in power for 12 years after my dad died at the age of 76.
  • Fur Hats- Yes, shamefully I admit that I have two of them.
  • Fashion Week- I got invited to Ralph Rucci's Fall 2012 Fashion Show.
  • Fireworks- they are a thrill to watch each and every time.
  • Fourth of July- One of my favorite holidays because I don't have to buy a gift and there are no religious overtones to this day.
  • French Creek- I've kayaked here and I should go there again.
  • Five Thousand (5000) Steps A Day- I set this as a minimum goal but I don't reach it enough.
  • Freedom From Religion Foundation- FFRF- I am a member.  I am agnostic and I cant stand to have religion shoved down my throat.
