I get this one twig of bleeding hearts every year in my garden. I look forward to its arrival but it does not appear to be on a consistent schedule as my other perennials are.  It shows up, unannounced and in full bloom.  It stays for a week or two and then one morning, it appears to have vanished sometime in the middle of the night, not to be seen again for another long year.
