DIVA CUPS
Amazon Wish list Campaign
Goal: 82 cups
West Chester, PA
Fall 2017
A posting on my Facebook wall: I will be teaching in Nepal for The World Academy for the Future of Women (WAFW) in November and December 2017. This is the same program that took me to China in 2012 and 2015. If any of you would like to buy this product (menstrual cups) for one of my 82 students, I know it will be appreciated.
I recently asked these student to tell me what are some of the problems that women in Nepal must endure. Here is one answer:
"There are many problems that Nepalese Women are suffering. One of the main is dominating and being out of the comfort zone during mensuration period. Still in some of the places people doesn't let girl's to go schools.
Hope, being the team from WAFW.. We can solve these problems."

If the girls can be inconspicuous during their periods, they have a better chance of going to school.
Within a week, I had 70 sets of menstrual cups (140). I had to put a notice up and ask that people stop sending them to me. This campaign spoke to women. I got cups from women that I didn't even know. One woman sent me a cup and coincidentally she was in the middle of her own campaign to collect tampons to distribute to university students in Buffalo.
