Waddle Sea Area
Antarctica
December 2007
We were told to give the penguins a clear path of 15 feet. They waddle a little bit and then they plop down and glide on their bellies. We were told to stay off this belly trails they make as we could derail them. So we made every effort to give them space.
However, our guides never told us how very curious the penguins were. No matter what we did or where we sat, they came over and checked us out. A few of them came right up to us and sat right next to us. And for th record, they smelled horrendous.
