BLIZZARD 2016
January 22, 2016Carpenter’s Point, MD
I had a flight out of Baltimore, heading to warm Phoenix on Saturday. But the weather had other plans for me. The snow started on Friday night and it kept coming down hard until late Saturday night. When it was all over, we had over 2 feet of snow and snow drifts of three or four feet. The wind howled the whole time, which made shoveling quite a challenge. I tried to stay on top of shoveling my sidewalk. But I would no sooner finish and the winds would pick up again and my sidewalk would be covered again.
By early evening on Saturday, I had cabin fever so I wandered over to my neighbors’ house for dinner, beer and a movie. As I was leaving, around midnight, I took this photo. The moment was magical.
