Amy

Amy

I taught in China during the spring semester of 2012.  Sias University is a campus of 24,000 students from around central China.  Most of these students had never seen a non-Chinese person before they started college.  So they continued to be in awe as they discovered us, roaming the campus.

I met Amy shortly after I arrived at  campus.  I was having lunch with a friend of her mother.  Amy joined us because she wanted to meet a foreigner. She didn't speak to me at all during the entire lunch. But a month later, she sent me this note:

Hello, Bridge

I am Amy. Do you remember me?

This is the first time that I write to foreigner, so, I maybe make some mistakes.

Do you busy recently? I am trying to study english now.I get up to at 6:00am. It is a poor thing that remember English words. I ofen lazy to remember it.

I hope you have a good time.

Amy
