Marriage Advice from My Mother

On the eve of every wedding in our family, my mother would pull the bride aside and have "the talk".  It was the same for everyone.  She would be a little nervous to start but then she would just blurt out what she had to say, "Have you thought about not having kids.  You know, they aren't all they are cracked up to be.  They are a lot of work.  Why don't you forget about kids and focus on your career.  Be the rich aunt who gets to travel a lot.  You know, you really can't travel when you have kids."

As you can see below, I was the only one took her advice.
